Youth Against Violence - Preventing Violence Against Women and Girls

Youth Against Violence: Preventing Violence Against Women and Girls program is designed for passionate and committed individuals who want to take action on ending violence against women and girls – people like YOU. Anyone can run this program with a group of youth by using the resources on this page.

Youth Against Violence: Preventing Violence Against Women and Girls program and resources were developed and delivered as a part of the project undertaken by the Justice Education Society of BC in support of We Can End All Violence Against Women BC Campaign in 2011-2013. It was funded by the Status of Women Canada under the Blueprint Initiative. This two-year project targeted youth in Grades 7 through 12 throughout the province with the goal to empower youth through training and support to promote gender equality and non-violence among their peers and in the wider school community. Visit Project Information to learn more about the project and its results.

Please contact us if you are interested in running Youth Against Violence program at your school or through a community group. Training on program approach and materials is available on request, and can be adapted to suit your needs.
